0930 – Keynote Speaker Introduction 

1015 – Alo Slebir and “A Ride of a Lifetime” 

1045 – Forecasting and Mavericks Legend Mark Sponsler Winter Weather Outlook and Swell Modeling Tools 

1115 – Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco: Pilot and Rescue Swimmer 

1145 – Medical Assessment, On water medical assistance, and Patient Packaging. Introduction to CPR, AED and 
information for certification. – Coastside Fire/CAL Fire – 

1200 – David Cosgrave, CERT Stop the Bleed, San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services
 
1230 Lunch, Basic CPR Demonstrations, and PPE Hands On 

1300 – EAP – Emergency Action Plan 

1330 – Legendary Mavericks Pioneer and Historian Grant Washburn: Area Familiarization – Spot Analysis

 
1415 – Harbor Patrol and Lifeguards: Ocean Safety, Response Strategies and Situational Awareness 

1445 – Mavericks Rescue, Jeff, Parker, Kyle, Drake – FQ, Safety Gear on and off PWC – Equipment and Gear demonstration – Mavz Rescue Team 

1500 – Head Trauma, Concussions, Healing, and Resources Audrey Lambidakis 

Debrief, Q and A, Overview Day 2, and Dismissal 

Day #2 [11/13/2025] is an exclusive opportunity for safety crews, big-wave surfers, and PWC Photographers who want to learn how to interact with water safety. We need to get a head count for day #2 water ops, as there will only be 35 to 40 slots available. If you’re a surfer or photographer, please email us at mavericksrescue@gmail.com with a brief explanation of why you need the training. 0900 0930 – Personal Protective Equipment, Explanation, and Product Demonstration 

1000 Patrol Boat Overviews: (Pillar Point Harbor Patrol Radon and/or Almar, USCG Golden Gate 47 MLB) 

1030 Training Stations – Team and Lifeguards 

A. Rescue Watercraft Picks and Rescue Techniques 

B. Patient Transfers to Patrol Boat *(Pillar Point Harbor Patrol Radon and/or Almar, USCG Golden Gate 47MLB, Additional TBD) 

C- Spine awareness and techniques *. Surfboard as a Rescue / Stabilization / Packaging/patient Transfer 

D. Rescue Watercraft Picks and Rescue Techniques * Patient Transfers to Patrol Boats 

(4 Groups assigned, rotating through all stations) 

1230 to 1300 Hydration and Lunch — Working with the USCG Air Station SF Rotor Aircraft always on right-hand side (starboard) 

1300 to 1330 Transient to Mavericks and Stage for Training Evolutions 1330 Mavericks / Area FAM / Conditional Awareness / Hazards 

A. Rescue Watercraft Picks and Rescue Techniques 

B. Patient Transfers to Patrol Boat (Pillar Point Harbor Patrol Radon and/or Almar, USCG Golden Gate 47MLB)

 
1500 Training Evolution for Rescue Scenario / Multiple Scenarios Team Response / Communications / Patient Transfer / Packaging / Medical Care (Multiple evolutions based on additional Patrol Boat Assets, VHF Channels assigned 23A TBD) 

1530 Pillar Point Harbor Launch Ramp Debrief / Resources for future / Q and A 

1600 Dismissal – Contact Sharin and Certificates
