Day #1 will take place October 23rd at 9:am at the Old Princeton Landing in Princeton by the Sea. Day #1 is free and open to the public. All are welcome.

1015 – Amy Gubser – Long Distance swimmer presentation (swim San Francisco Bay to Farallon island)

1115 – Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco (Pilot – Rescue Swimmer) Q&A
1145 – Medical Assessment, Bleeding Control, On water medical assistance, and patient packaging. Intro to CPR and information for certification. – Coastside Fire/CAL Fire –
1230 Lunch, Basic CPR Demonstrations, and PPE Hands On
1300 – EAP – Emergency Action Plan
1330 – Grant Washburn Area Familiarization – Spot
1400 – (TBD) HMB/OB Lifeguards Ocean Safety

1445 – Mavericks Rescue, Jeff, Parker Guy, Kyle Marty – FQ, Safety Gear on and off skis – Equipment demo – Mavz Rescue

Debrief, Q and A, Overview Day 2, and Dismissal
Day #2 [10/24/2024] is an exclusive opportunity for safety crews, big-wave surfers, and PWC Photographers who want to learn how to interact with water safety. We need to get a head count for day #2 water ops, as there will only be 35 to 40 slots available. If you’re a surfer or photographer, please email us at mavericksrescue@gmail.com with a brief explanation of why you need the training.
